Advantages

  • Kohan wet OK is a wetting and scouring soap for continuous systems; usable during scouring and bleaching processes to remove oils, waxes, and pectin from cotton. It also prevents impurities redeposition on the fabric.
  • It has excellent enhancing hydrophilicity and color fastness, while also increasing fabric whiteness.
  • Stable properties in sodium hydroxide up to 15° Baumé and also usable at 20° Baumé, only continuous mixing is required.
  • Usable as leveling agent in dyeing process.

 

Application

  • The dosage in bleaching baths varies depend on the system type, machinery, and continuous contact time which are influenced by fabric density, transport speed, dwell time in the foulard.
  • The recommended dosage for scouring stage of cotton product: 0.3 g/l
  • The dosage of scouring stage using a jigger: 1–3 g/l. (2 g/l ensures excellent dye penetration).
  • The dosage of scouring stage using a Haspel machine: 0.5–1 g/l.
  • In bobbin dyeing 10-20 g/l is enough.

Bleaching Recipe for Wide-Width Fabrics:

  • Kohan Wet OK                          1–3 g/L
  • Sodium Hydroxide                    6–8 ° Baumé
  • Impregnation Temperature      60–80 °C
  • Scouring/Bleaching                   95 °C, 1.5–2 hours

Bleaching Recipe for BOX-J System:

  • Kohan Wet OK                          1–3 g/L
  • Sodium Hydroxide                    6–8 ° Baumé
  • Impregnation Temperature      60–80 °C
  • Steaming Duration                   1–2 hours

Bleaching with Sodium Hypochlorite:

  • Active Chlorin                           5–7 g/L
  • Sodium Hydroxide                    1–2 g/L (38° Baumé)
  • pH                                             10–10.5
  • Kohan Wet OK                           0.3–0.5 g/L

Bleaching with Sodium Chlorite:

  • Sodium Chlorite 80%                15–30 g/L
  • Formic Acid                              3–4 g/L
  • Kohan Wet OK                          1–3 g/L
  • Tuz Tampon                             x g/L

Recommended Recipe for Cold Continuous Bleaching System:

  • Magnesium Sulfate                      0.1–0.2 g/L
  • Sodium Silicate                            12–15 mL/L
  • Sodium Hydroxide                       12–25 g/L
  • Kohan Wet OK                              6–8 g/L
  • Hydrogen Peroxide 50%               25–40 g/L

This recipe should be processed at room temperature for 16–24 hours.

Recommended Recipe for Hot Continuous Bleaching System:

  • Kohan Wet OK                              2–4 g/L
  • Liquid Sodium Hydroxide 50%     10–20 g/L
  • Hydrogen Peroxide 50%                25–40 g/L

Should be processed at 100℃ in a continuous steaming chamber for 10-20 minutes.

Kohan Wet OK becomes cloudy in sodium hydroxide up to 5° Baumé. (no negative effect on quality).

the alkalinity and peroxide levels must be continuously titrated and monitored.

Water hardness should be adjusted to DH5 by adding 0.2 g/l of magnesium sulfate.

Packaging and Storage

  • Available in 110 kg and 1000 kg IBC drums.
  • It can be stored in original containers at room temperature for 6 months.
  • Keep it away from direct sunlight and frost.
  • Any change in appearance or color (light exposure) does not affect the final quality.
